Best practice

PAS 128

PAS 128 is a specification for underground utility detection, verification and location. Published by the British Standards Institute, it sets out to establish industry best practice for conducting utility surveys. Within this specification, a desktop utility search, or “Type D Survey” is a prerequisite to any subsequent onsite detection. We are proud to have sponsored this specification and contributed to its evolution as members of the steering group. All our Utility Search Reports are conducted to this specification.

For further information on PAS 128:2022 please contact us us or visit the official British Standards Institute (bsi) shop.

PAS 256

PAS 256 is a Publicly Available Specification focused on the capture, recording, maintenance and sharing of buried asset data.

This specification carries ever increasing importance as the drive for digital engineering becomes more prominent within the wider built environment, and we contributed our digital delivery expertise as members of the steering group during the formation of this specification. For further information on PAS 256 please visit the official British Standards Institute (bsi) shop.
